Was found to be faulty and was replaced. Leaving the dealership it came on yet again. Was told they New York needed to order the part and I never heard from them again. Light went out on its own eventually. At 1 year the clutch pedal squeaked and taking it to a different KIA dealership, they replaced the clutch cable. Driving home from that it thunk-ed and the next day I spent another 9 hours at the dealership again while they replacde the faulty clutch. At 16 months, another thunk started when going over speed bumps and or New York KIA dealer releasing the clutch got me a trip to my original dealership, who told me a motor mount was loose from the clutch job and I had to return to the other KIA dealership that did the clutch work to have it fixed. The second dealership told me the first was on drugs and that the motor mounts were fine, however my suspension links needed replacing. It would sometimes require that New York KIA I press unlock several times. Other times, it would lock by itself. One of the controllers was completely dead. The dealer replaced the whole unit and both controllers at no charge to me. KIA hasn't quite got this down though. When pressing the lock button, the horn sounds and all doors lock. But, pressing the unlock has issues. First, there is a delay of about 1 second after you press it. Also, you have to be right next to the car (within 15 feet I believe). Finally, it doesn't make a sound! Sure, the dome light comes on, but in daylight, you can't tell externally whether the door was unlocked until you've tried it. So, I find myself waiting until I'm almost touching New York KIA guide with it, then pressing it twice (which unlocks all doors) just to be sure it's unlocked. Yet, the engine still made a "knocking" sound. I've put in the premium oil on the last oil change (at 11,000) miles and it's stopped.
